This is Iroquois band<\/a> with our latest and only foal this year: Moonfire.<\/p>\n

Their formation when traveling is not random, the lead mare and 3 other grey mares in the front, then a chestnut mare, then Iroquois, Moonshadow, Moonfire and Garrett, and Poppy in the back. This is no coincidence, it is the hierarchy of the band. Garrett, Moonshadow and Moonfire are a little nuclear band within the band. It is also the safest way to walk, lead mare in the front, lead stallion in the back, but in this case, 1st lieutenant Garrett closes rank and 2nd lieutenant (Poppy) stays about 10 to 20 ft back. A very well functioning mechanism for safety of the baby, may he stay forever safe and free.<\/p>\n
