Did you know there are over 250 wild horses near Scottsdale?🐴

The Salt River wild horses roam the lower Salt River area within the Tonto National Forest – a 40-minute drive from Old Town Scottsdale. These mustangs descend from horses brought by 16th-century Spanish explorers and the Akimel O’odham Native American tribe. They’re often seen along the riverbanks, cooling off in the river or crossing the riverbed.
