UNEXPECTED ALPINE HORSE AUCTION! &#x1f6a8;<br \/>\nOnce again, Jackie Hughes and the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest are back at it, sending Alpine horses to slaughter auctions \u2014 and it\u2019s absolutely deplorable.<\/p>\n<p>&#x1f434; TONIGHT \u2014 July 9th \u2014 Alpines, 6 of them, will be sold at the infamous disgusting Cleburne Auction, where many Alpine wild horses have gotten sick and died, and there is no time to save them! But we&#8217;ll still try!<\/p>\n<p>&#x1f4a5;-&gt;This is a Desperate Fundraiser and call for help!!<\/p>\n<p>The required public sales notice was at the Alpine post office, on July second, signed by the new Forest Supervisor on July 1st. It was easy to miss! But \u2014 we still have an open court case and our attorney is on it, asking for more time for these horses. BUT YOU can help too:<\/p>\n<p>&#x1f449; These seem like deliberate actions to hide these removals and sales, going beyond just not working with, but even denying advocates the chance to help these poor horses.<\/p>\n<p>(Jackie Hughes can bash us on social media every day, but keep to herself that Alpine wild horses are going to auction, talk about transparency!)<\/p>\n<p>These are historic wild horses, that used to live around the Coronado trail, the very trail where Coronado left them 450 years ago!, dumped at auction\u2014 AGAIN. And now the same person responsible \u2014 Jackie Hughes \u2014 appears to be lined up by the FS to oversee the Salt River wild horses?? It\u2019s insane. It&#8217;s cruel. And we cannot let it happen!!<\/p>\n<p>&#x1f4a5; CALL NOW!<\/p>\n<p>Tell the Governor:<\/p>\n<p>&#x1f449; \u201cDon\u2019t let the Alpine wild horses leave on a slaughter truck tonite! Work with horse advocates \u2014 and DO NOT hire the same cruel person (Jackie Hughes) to remove the Salt River wild horses!
