Removed from their natural home and Discarded. Thrown out like trash. But to us? These sweet horses have names.

— Sweet, innocent, historic, and once free in the Apache Forest near Alpine, Arizona.
They are Etta, from Sundance’s band…

…and Zeppie, the orphaned foal of beloved mare Beatriz, who has died.

And to the public of Arizona? They are real living historic Treasures.

⚠️ THESE HORSES DID NOT COME OUT OF THE FOREST LIKE THIS.
This level of starvation and cruelty comes directly from the person in charge of them:

👉 Jackie Hughes — the contractor who has been in possession of these horses.
We have years of photo and video documentation of the Alpine wild horses in the wild. They were healthy. Thriving. Beautiful. In a Forest, abundant enough for all of its inhabitants. See their before Pictures!

Now? They’re skin and bones — ribs, hips, and spines sticking out, defeated, barely hanging on to life. So how did they end up like this?

The excuses we hear from people sticking up for JH are “the forest service makes her do it”, NO, that is incorrect, the Forest Service actually pays her in her contract for hay and care of the horses! Does she just not buy it for them?

Instead of working with sanctuaries and advocates ready to take them in, Jackie pushed for them to be sent to out-of-state kill buyer auctions. We have video evidence of her cohort, John K., stating that Jackie herself convinced the Forest Service to do this.

Her excuse?

That the Arizona market is “saturated.”

That placing them in sanctuaries is “a waste of a horse.”

Yes — she really said that.

😡 JACKIE WANTS TO MANAGE THE SALT RIVER WILD HORSES NEXT!

Let that sink in.

The same person responsible for dead foals, and emaciated mares and stallions… is now applying for the contract to manage the Salt River wild horses.

She has a few public mouthpieces defending her — claiming she “loves horses.”

Beatriz died in her custody!

A tiny foal died on her watch!

The lactating mare Zenith stood crying out all night at the auction. That means she lost her baby less than 24 hours before.

This is not an isolated incident, this is neglect. Suffering. Abuse.

📢 TAKE ACTION — SPEAK UP FOR THE HORSES!

While the hardworking sanctuaries P.A.W 4 The Foundation and Nirvana Mustang Sanctuary begin the long process of helping these horses heal — we need your voices.

If you feel as outraged as we are, turn it into action to make a difference.

💥 CALL NOW!
