How should the ASNF be treating wild horses? Do you believe the claims that these horses are the destroyers of the ecosystem even when they represent only 4 % of all the grazers in the forest?<\/p>\n

Why is the ASNF so adamant on discarding naturally occurring animals (wild horses) while allowing 1000’s of introduced cattle to be released in the same areas? Why are there over 7000 elk in the same area but hunters pointing fingers at 400 (now fewer than 200) horses??
\nWhy is it so difficult for some stakeholders to share the forest? Horse advocates certainly aren’t demanding other animals to be removed. We know there is enough forest (500.000 acres) to peacefully share. And we are reasonable, there are humane ways to reduce a population, all we want is for them NOT to end up on a slaughtertruck.<\/p>\n

There are better ways. The public is also a stakeholder and the ASNF forgets that sometimes, so that’s you, they forget about you. So please let us know what you think and why we should pass a bill against shooting and slaughtering Alpine wild horses!<\/p>\n
