Wild horses contribute a great deal of positive elements to the environment they live in. They are the creators of the mesquite forests, which serve as protective shaded resting areas for themselves as well as all other wildlife and birds. They then also landscape these forests by hedging the mesquite trees from the bottom, which is positive, because it makes them grow higher and it creates room to move under the trees. The horses consume both the leaves and the beans from the tree, which then creates new seedling trees that they also fertilize so they can grow to maturity. They rarely get credit for it, but they are great landscapers of their environments.<\/p>\n
