SRWHMG has saved the Salt River wild horses from starvation during the long-lasting drought in Arizona. Yes, but where’s Shadowfax?<\/em><\/p>\n

SRWHMG spends thousands of man hours cleaning and improving wild horse habitat. Yes, but where’s Shadowfax?<\/em><\/p>\n

SRWHMG administers the most succesful fertility control program in the country. Yes, but where’s Shadowfax?<\/em><\/p>\n

SRWHMG has not only rescued 16 Salt River wild horses who would have otherwise died, but also saves other abandoned and lost animals and finds them good homes. Yes, but where’s Shadowfax?<\/em><\/p>\n

SRWHMG monitors over 440 Salt River wild horses, and records their health, their band changes and migrating patterns. Yes but where’s Shadowfax?<\/em><\/p>\n

We work hard to raise the funds nesesary so that we can continue our important programs and offer our services to the government for free, so that the Salt River wild horses can remain free. Yes, but more importantly, where is Shadowfax?<\/em><\/p>\n

We have saved him more times than we can count: from colic, from the road, from strangles, from VSV, from starvation, from being stuck in fence, and also from having to be rescued or euthanized.<\/p>\n

Shadowfax is a very special Salt River wild horse and he benefits from all SRWHMG programs. He is over 20 years old and losing some muscle and body condition. We continue to monitor him closely and give him special feed for just him, because he needs that little extra protein. He is roaming wherever his heart desires and is doing OK.<\/p>\n

Long live Shadowfax plus all other Salt River wild horses too! ;))<\/p>\n
