The Goldfield Fire is the one we were hoping would never come, but its here. And it is currently moving towards Salt River wild horses in their precious habitat.<\/p>\n

All of our volunteers are on high alert, we are monitoring from the riverside as well as from the property side.<\/p>\n

We want to encourage anyone from the air (news helicopters) to inform us of where they spot wild horses. And PLEASE- a big round of applause and encouragement to the Forest Service, to please do everything in their power to save the Salt River wild horses and their precious habitat.<\/p>\n

Crossing a large band of 14 horses on goldfield road last night. You can see the goldfield fire in the background.<\/p>\n

All Salt River wild horses are safe this morning! Our volunteers continue to be everywhere they can and remain on high alert.<\/p>\n

Thank you Forest Service and State Fire Department and hot shots!! It does look like the retardant lines are holding.
\nOur property is safe this morning also. We will keep you updated as we hear more.<\/p>\n
