We want to give a big thank you to our Arizona lawmakers Rep Grijalva (D)<\/strong> and Rep Schweikert (R)<\/strong> who are leading the way in congress right now on an amendment to require the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to use at least part of their budget for humane fertility control PZP, so that less wild horses will be removed. (It’s amendment 6 to HR 7608)<\/p>\n

The BLM just got additional funding and they intend to use all of it for roundups, unless these lawmakers get some more support!<\/p>\n

We have until Wednesday – if these are your Reps. Call and thank them. If not, call your own rep at (202) 224- 3121<\/a> and ask them to co-sponsor amendment 6 to HR 7608<\/strong>. American Wild Horse Campaign has an action alert on it https:\/\/wildhor.se\/Amdt6<\/a><\/p>\n

It doesn’t make any sense to continue with the vicious cycle of roundups and not use humane birth control. Thank you for thanking these AZ lawmakers for standing up for wild horses and encourage them to keep up the fight. (And remember them come voting time)<\/p>\n
